Cooking is like love. It should be entered into with abandon or not at all. ~Harriet van Horne

At the end of May I had the privilege of being the Man of Honor at my dear friend's wedding, which took place in Long Island City, New York. In my opinion, one of the best parts of a wedding is the food. It is a lavish experience that brings people together in celebration. This decadent dining experience goes hand in hand with the celebration of love, probably the two things we need most as humans to thrive.

My friend went with Chef Daniel Boulud's catering company Feast & Fétes. All I can say is that if this were a restaurant review I would give five stars for an utterly sensual experience. Check out the menu and drool!

  1. Feast and Fetes seems like a guaranteed orgasm. Having a sweet tooth, I particularly enjoyed the choc. dacquoise with rice crispies (COCA rice crispies) and all the petit fours! I remember walking out with some petit fours after dancing to BayWA's first three or four songs, and Laura and Gabrielle were like: WHERE DID YOU GET THOSE?

  3. The chocolate especially seemed to give the food that sensual palate you were speaking of. I think what looks the most appealing is the simplicity of the menu. It seems like it would have allowed for a lot of interpretation and would have allowed guests to have a multi level experience with the wedding. Thank you for posting, it looked very delicious!
